Originally created as a self-funded group in 1978, VISC is still the only place for visually impaired people to socialise and educate themselves within the West Yorkshire area. Despite no help from the governmental organisations, 35 members remain solid in this unique group and new ones are joining in. There are some deaf-blind services coordinators,to assist people with greater difficulties, who can often find themselves more isolated than others. VISC strives to unite visually imapired people within the area and raise awareness. If you, yourself, are visually imapired and would be interested in being involved with the group then don't hesitate to contact them through the contact page.
